BORN UNRULED is an independent streetwear brand operating from the United Kingdom and selling internationally. This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this website, what they do, how long they last and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies — such as local storage and session storage in your browser — work in the same way by saving small amounts of information on your device. In this policy, "cookies" refers to both.
2. How BORN UNRULED Uses Cookies
We keep this deliberately minimal. At present the website only uses storage that is strictly necessary for the site to work: keeping you signed in, remembering the items in your cart, protecting checkout and recording your cookie choice.
We do not currently run analytics, advertising or social media tracking. No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or similar technology is installed on this website. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated and those technologies will not run until you have given consent.
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies and Storage
These are required for core functionality and cannot be switched off. Under UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, alongside UK GDPR) consent is not required for storage that is strictly necessary to deliver a service you have requested.

4. Functional / Preference Cookies
This category would remember optional preferences. Beyond the strictly necessary storage listed above, no functional cookies are currently in use. The category is available in our cookie settings so that any future preference storage is only activated with your consent.
5. Analytics Cookies
None in use. No analytics or measurement provider is installed on this website. The Analytics category in our cookie settings is switched off by default and would only be used if we introduce an analytics tool in future, and then only after you have opted in.
6. Marketing / Advertising Cookies
None in use. We do not run advertising pixels, retargeting or cross-site tracking on this website. The Marketing category exists in our cookie settings for the same reason as above and remains off unless you opt in.
7. Third-Party Services and Cookies
A small number of third-party services support the website. They are listed here in the interest of transparency:
- Stripe — payment processing. When you proceed to pay, you are taken to Stripe's secure hosted checkout. Stripe sets its own strictly necessary cookies on its own pages for fraud prevention and payment security. We never see or store your card details.
- Our backend platform — provides accounts, the database and file storage. It sets the authentication session storage described above.
- Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google's font service so the site renders correctly. This does not place advertising cookies, though your IP address is visible to that service as part of delivering the font files.
Third-party services process data under their own policies. Please refer to those providers for details of their cookie use.
8. Cookie Duration
Durations are given per item in section 3 where they can be reliably determined. Session storage is cleared when the tab closes. Local storage persists until it expires, until you change your choice, or until you clear your browser data. Cookies set by third parties on their own pages are governed by their own retention periods.
9. Managing Your Cookies
When you first visit the site you can choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage cookies to set each category individually. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not limit your ability to browse, shop or check out.
10. Withdrawing or Changing Consent
You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page, which reopens the preference panel. Your new choice takes effect immediately.
11. Browser Cookie Controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site storage through their settings, usually under Privacy or Site data. You can also clear storage for this site specifically. Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent signing in, keeping a cart or completing checkout.
12. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this policy as the website develops. If we introduce a new cookie or similar technology, this page will be updated and, where consent is required, you will be asked again before it is activated. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
